Freely available tools to reproduce, explore, and extend the methods developed in my research
An interactive HTML simulator based on the 2019 Rio Grande do Sul Regional Input-Output Matrix (IO-RS), covering 117 products and 52 economic activities. The simulator allows users to replicate the final-demand shock used to assess the impacts of the transition to electrified vehicles, as presented in the associated study. It also enables users to create new demand-shock scenarios for any of the 117 products or combinations thereof. The tool calculates direct, indirect, and total effects on production, as well as effects on value added and wage-induced value added, together with impacts on ICMS tax revenue.
The simulator can also be run and reproduced in R using the accompanying ZIP file, which contains the R scripts, data files, conversion tables, and README file required to reproduce the simulations and develop new scenarios.
